The final preparations are being made for the first Central West Comics Fest this weekend, bringing together retailers, comics creators, and fans from across New South Wales to celebrate the art of graphic storytelling.
You can hear an interview with me and Parkes branch librarian Tracie Mauro on the ABC website by clicking on this link (mp3 audio). You can also read more about the festival on the ABC website.
If you live in the Central West and love comics, we look forward to seeing you on Saturday!
Hey Matt,
Looks fantastic and I loved Blue, which is in our comic collection here in Wellington, NZ.
Some pretty interesting parallel’s between these events too! Check out our Comics Fest here, on the 2nd and 3rd of May – https://www.facebook.com/events/716622551710392/?ref=22
We’ve got NZ comic folk in Greg Broadmore, Ant Sang, Grant Buist, Robyn Keneally, Gavin Mouldey and Paul Tobin taking part in workshops, panel discussions, prizes, costume comps and are giving away a ton of comics as part of Comic Book Free Day from the library – should be great!
